Throughout their long histories and for all industrial developments Socoplan and Biopack are always sensitive to environmental concerns, reduction of waste and the protection of nature.

SOCOPLAN has a sustained investment policy for reducing environmental impact and has gained several certifications in recent years such as the ECOCERT certification in April 2008 and the Carbon Footprint Survey in June 2008. They have started working on ISO14001 as of January 2009. The "Bio-Cleaner" system whereby solvents from the printing process are harmlessly consumed by bacteria rather than through incineration reinforces this ecological approach and makes SOCOPLAN a leader in sustainable gravure printing.

Biopack have sought to reduce cost and amount of packaging consumed by introducing opened and interleaved card, which provides its customers with solutions to both reduction in total packaging and a decrease in the physical volumes to be stored and transported.

The implementation of an on-going quality system started 3 years ago will be complemented by an adoption of the spirit of ISO14001. ECOCERT certifications was obtained in 2008
